The Stage Crew does everything—and there are nowhere near enough of them.
These tiny, long-eared workers build the scenery, arrange the props, control the lights, clean up paranormal slime, repair Billy’s walls, and quietly remove anything Barney describes as “a harmless experiment.” If something looks impressive, the crew built it. If something collapses, Barney probably touched it.
Their long arms are perfect for carrying equipment. Their enormous ears make it impossible to ignore Barney’s constant instructions. Their tired eyes suggest they have not enjoyed a proper night’s sleep since sometime in the previous century.
Despite their size, the crew can move wardrobes, chandeliers, cameras, and occasionally an uncooperative ghost host. They work quickly, communicate through gestures and exhausted staring, and possess the rare ability to repair physical objects using tape, rope, and pure resentment.
The crew receives little recognition because good stage work is invisible. When everything functions, the audience watches the performance. When anything fails, every performer suddenly knows exactly where the crew is.
They complain constantly but take enormous pride in their craft. Billy’s house was never designed to be a television studio, so nearly every episode requires impossible modifications. Floors must become stages, cupboards become entrances, and ordinary lamps become dramatic spotlights. By sunrise, the crew somehow puts most of it back.
Most of it.
“We’ll fix it. Again.”
